How do I remove my information from data brokers (California Delete Act / DROP)?

California's Delete Act (SB 362, Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.99.80 and following) created the Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP), run by the California Privacy Protection Agency. A California resident submits one verified deletion request, and every data broker registered with the state must check the platform at least every 45 days, delete that person's data, and keep deleting it every 45 days going forward. Consumers could start filing in January 2026, and brokers were required to begin processing requests on August 1, 2026; brokers that fail to comply face administrative fines. Outside California, you can still send each broker an opt-out under your state's privacy law, and most large people-search sites (Spokeo, Whitepages, BeenVerified) run opt-out pages voluntarily. Google's "Results about you" tool removes search results showing your home address, phone number or email. Generate broker opt-out letters at https://takeitdown.agentexchange.work/request/privacy.
