Reporting illegal content ([Your site])

[Your site] ([your URL]) provides a notice and action mechanism under Articles 16 and 17 of the EU Digital Services Act. Anyone can notify us of content they consider illegal.

How to notify us: use our request form (link this text to your Compliance Desk request page) or write to [contact email], stating why you consider the content illegal, its exact location (URL), your name and email address, and a good-faith confirmation that your notice is accurate. We acknowledge receipt, decide diligently and without undue delay, inform you of the decision, and give the affected user a statement of reasons. Decisions can be contested through our internal complaint system for six months.

What the law asks for

• The Digital Services Act has applied to all intermediary services with users in the EU since February 17, 2024, including small hosting services and marketplaces outside the EU.
• Article 16 requires an easy-to-access electronic notice mechanism for allegedly illegal content, an acknowledgment of receipt, and a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary decision; Article 17 requires a statement of reasons to the affected user. Article 20 (internal complaint handling for six months) applies to online platforms, and Article 19 exempts micro and small enterprises from it.
• Notices must allow the reporter to explain why the content is illegal, give its exact location, their name and email (except for certain offences) and a good-faith statement.
