Pinterest says it responds quickly, under the DMCA, to claims sent to its designated copyright agent, and only the owner or someone authorized to act for them should file. Use its copyright complaint form at pinterest.com/about/copyright/dmca-pin/, email copyright@pinterest.com (an address it reserves for copyright reports), or write to its Copyright Agent at 651 Brannan Street, San Francisco, CA 94107-1532. Include identification of your work, the URL of each Pin, your mailing address, phone and email, the good-faith and penalty-of-perjury statements Pinterest quotes, and your full legal name as your signature. For an image, begin the report with "remove all Pins that contain the image"; Pinterest can only find identical copies, so list resized or edited versions separately. It may send the person who saved the Pin a complete copy of your notice, including your full legal name and contact details. If they counter-notify and you do not tell Pinterest you have filed in court or with the Copyright Claims Board, it reinstates the Pin, a process it says can take up to 14 business days. Removals count as strikes under its repeat-infringer policy. Owners can also apply for its Content Claiming Portal; if approved, their choice applies to existing and future matches.
