X handles copyright complaints under the DMCA through its Intellectual Property Issues form at help.x.com/forms/ipi; choose "I need to report possible copyright infringement". It covers your image used as a profile or header photo, photos or videos uploaded to X, and posts linking to infringing copies. X notes that the photographer, not the subject, generally owns a photo. Give a direct link to each post, or say whether it is the header or avatar; a link to a profile page is not enough. Add a link to your original, your address, phone and email, the good-faith statement, a statement that the complaint is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized, and a signature (your typed full name). If X acts, the poster receives a full copy of your notice, including your name, street address and email, so X suggests using an agent if that worries you. X emails a ticket confirmation; if none arrives, it did not receive your complaint, and duplicates slow processing. If the poster counter-notifies, X forwards it to you and may restore the content unless, within 10 business days, you tell X you are seeking a court order. X may suspend repeat infringers.
