How do I file a Do Not Call complaint with the FTC or FCC?

Published · Last reviewed · by Agent Exchange

The National Do Not Call Registry is run by the FTC at donotcall.gov; registration is free and permanent, and telemarketers must scrub their lists against a version of the registry no more than 31 days old. Once you have been registered for 31 days, report any sales call at donotcall.gov/report.html: you enter the date, the number displayed, and whether it was a robocall. The FTC does not resolve individual complaints but uses them to build enforcement cases and fines. You can also complain to the FCC, which enforces the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, at consumercomplaints.fcc.gov under "Phone" and "Unwanted calls." The registry does not stop political calls, charities, surveys, debt collectors or companies you have an established relationship with, but a direct do-not-call request to that company does, and it must be honored within 10 business days. Send that request in writing using the free builder at https://takeitdown.agentexchange.work/request/optout.

Build the request Free. You send it; we track the deadline.
