Valid removal request (TIDA elements)

A valid removal request under the TAKE IT DOWN Act must contain four elements: (1) the physical or electronic signature of the identifiable individual or a person authorized to act for them; (2) identification of the intimate visual depiction and information reasonably sufficient for the platform to locate it, typically the URL; (3) a brief statement of the requester's good-faith belief that the depiction is nonconsensual, with any facts that help the platform confirm this; and (4) contact information. A request missing an element may be rejected, so requesters should include all four and keep a dated copy of what they sent.
