Add a takedown notice and request form to Squarespace

The TAKE IT DOWN Act asks a covered platform for a clear notice, a request path that works without an account, removal within 48 hours and a record; the other desks (DSA, privacy, accessibility, opt-out) place the same way. Below is where each piece goes on Squarespace, written for the standard admin screens; menu names move occasionally, so look for the same section by function.

  1. Create the page. Pages → + → Blank page. Add a Text block with the notice and link the words "request form" to your hosted request page (https://takeitdown.agentexchange.work/r/<desk-id>).
  2. Embed the form (optional). Add a Code block and paste the iframe from your desk dashboard. Custom code in Code blocks runs on the Business plan and higher; if your plan does not run custom code, keep the link.
  3. Footer. Squarespace 7.1: scroll to the footer in the site editor, click Edit, and add a Text block with the link. 7.0 templates: add the page to the Footer Navigation section in the Pages panel.
  4. Add the badge. In the same footer Text block, insert an image from the badge URL and link it to your status page, or paste the snippet into a Code block.
  5. Do not use a Squarespace form as the intake. Squarespace forms cannot issue ticket numbers or a status page and do not start a deadline clock; use them for general contact only.

Squarespace's Cookie & Visitor Data settings cover consent banners, not requests; the privacy request link belongs on your privacy page and in the footer.
