Add a takedown notice and request form to WordPress

The TAKE IT DOWN Act asks a covered platform for a clear notice, a request path that works without an account, removal within 48 hours and a record; the other desks (DSA, privacy, accessibility, opt-out) place the same way. Below is where each piece goes on WordPress, written for the standard admin screens; menu names move occasionally, so look for the same section by function.

  1. Create the page. Pages → Add New. Paste the notice into paragraph blocks and link the words "request form" to your hosted request page (https://takeitdown.agentexchange.work/r/<desk-id>).
  2. Embed the form (optional). Add a Custom HTML block and paste the iframe from your desk dashboard. WordPress.com's free and Personal plans and some security plugins strip iframes; if the frame does not appear after publishing, keep the link.
  3. Footer link on every page. Block themes: Appearance → Editor → open the footer template part → select the Navigation block → add the page. Classic themes: Appearance → Menus → add the page to the footer menu, or Appearance → Widgets → add a Navigation Menu or Custom HTML widget to the footer area.
  4. Privacy requests. Settings → Privacy designates your privacy policy page; add the request link there. Once a request arrives, Tools → Export Personal Data and Tools → Erase Personal Data handle the fulfilment side for the data WordPress itself holds.
  5. Add the badge. Paste the badge snippet into the same Custom HTML block or footer widget.

If you run a multisite network, the footer template part or widget is per site; add the link once per site that hosts user content.
