Ten business days is the recurring deadline in U.S. opt-out and request rules. CAN-SPAM senders must honor an email opt-out within 10 business days (15 U.S.C. § 7704(a)(4)). Under the FCC's 2025 TCPA rules, callers must honor a revocation of consent within a reasonable time not exceeding 10 business days. CCPA regulations require a business to confirm receipt of a consumer request within 10 business days. Under the DMCA, a provider restores content 10 to 14 business days after a counter-notice unless the complainant sues. Business days exclude weekends and federal holidays, so record the exact day sent.
