Feedback mechanism (EAA)
Published · Last reviewed · by Agent Exchange
A feedback mechanism is the contact route through which any person can report that a digital service fails accessibility requirements or request content that was excluded. It is expressly required in accessibility statements under Article 7 of the EU Web Accessibility Directive for public bodies. Under the European Accessibility Act, service providers must make accessibility information available, ensure support services such as help desks communicate accessibly, take corrective action when a service is non-conforming, and cooperate with market surveillance authorities; Article 29 requires Member States to let consumers complain to courts or administrative bodies. Consumers should keep their feedback and any reference number.
